GSPM is proud to welcome Michael Steele  to the virtual MasterClass stage. When he was elected Lt. His commitment to grassroots organization and party building at the state and local levels produced 12 governorships and the greatest share of state legislative seats since 1928, winning over 760 seats. As Lt. Governor of Maryland, Mr. Steele’s priorities included reforming the state's Minority Business Enterprise program, improving the public education system, expanding economic development, and fostering cooperation between government and faith-based organizations to help those in need.Mr. Steele is the author of Right Now: A 12-Step Program for Defeating the Obama Agenda, which is a call to arms for grassroots America, and co-author of The Recovering Politician’s Twelve Step Program to Survive Crisis.Mark Meissner joined the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) as an Adjunct Professor nearly a decade ago. He serves as Vice President and Global Head of Public Relations for PCI Security Standards Council (PCI-SSC), a global forum that brings together payments industry stakeholders to develop and drive adoption of data security standards and resources for safe payments worldwide. Mr. Meissner works closely with PCI SSC leadership to develop global communications strategies that promote the PCI Security standards and programs with a wide range of stakeholders.   Mr. Meissner began his career in the world of politics.  He honed his political skills working on staff for two fellow Hoosiers - Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) and Representative Tim Roemer (D-IN).  He also served as Campaign Manager for Representative Roemer's successful 1994 re-election campaign.  Mark was a Congressional candidate in 2002, finishing second in the Democratic primary for Indiana's 2nd Congressional District.  His underdog campaign was hailed by the media as "relentless" and "impressive".
