CommPRO Editorial StaffThe Museum of Public Relations, the world's only museum serving the PR field, announced today it will reopen for in-person visits at the start of Spring Semester, 2022.  The Museum, which has not held in-person exhibits since March 2020, has spent the last 20 months providing virtual Museum tours to organizations and universities around the world.  It has also been giving lectures, presenting new research and broadcasting its regular series of diversity-themed events, including the first-ever tribute to Native Americans in Public Relations.To prepare for the reopening, the Museum is seeking help from the PR community to help finance its move into a larger space, in order to host classes compliant with current CDC protocols.  The larger space would also enable the Museum to safely store its archives, consisting of more than 5k artifacts-- many more than 120 years old.  These artifacts include rare documents, books, photos and antique communications technologies, once belonging to PR pioneers like as Doris and Edward Bernays; Ivy Lee; Arthur Page; Ofield Dukes; Denny Griswold, Muriel Fox and Inez Kaiser.The Museum, founded in 1997 following the passing of industry founder, Edward Bernays, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022.
