Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit Announces Business Plan Competition Finalists, Keynote Speakers and Boot Camp Sessions for 2017 Event

The Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit and Business Plan Competition has announced the finalists for the $10,000 Business Plan Competition.
These finalists will be judged and awarded Thursday, July 20th at The Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley, CA.
The six finalists are:
BaroStitch — BaroStitch is a first-of-its-kind medical device for the minimally invasive closure of calcified, large-bore femoral artery access sites following age-related structural heart interventions.
Carpadien — Carpadien aims to effectively and non-invasively alleviate thumb arthritis pain to provide lasting relief and rapid recovery to 14M+ Americans who are currently without effective treatment options.
Geneticure — Using genomics to replace trial-and-error with precision medicine for large chronic diseases.
Hormone Therapeutics — Our mission is to: Add Twenty Healthy Years to Every Life.
PhysioCue — An Anti-hypertension reduction therapy device with biosensors for measuring blood pressure and mobile app. and a bio-sensor BP monitor paired with an app.
Quikiks — Quikiks are securely fastening, fully supportive, totally hands-free operable shoes for people with physical and cognitive challenges that improve their quality-of-life, independence, and safety.
Included as judges for the Business Plan Competition are:

- Nancy Steele, VP External Ventures, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare
- Jeff Makowka, Director, Market Innovation, AARP, will moderate the competition
The Keynote Speakers for the 14 Annual Summit are:
- Dr. Ken Dychtwald, Founder & CEO, Age Wave
- Zak Dychtwald, Principal, The Dilenschneider Group
The keynote speakers will be discussing the aging of America and China, and the danger and opportunity of these aging global powerhouses and the massive prospects for global investment and the entrepreneurial marketplace. They will be introduced by Roseann Lake, Journalist and Program Editor for The Economist, who wrote Leftover in China: The Women Shaping the World's Next Superpower.
Bootcamp sessions for this year's summit are scheduled for Wednesday, July 19th, at The Claremont. The theme is Skill-up: Get the Skills and Knowledge You Need to Build a Business in the Longevity Market. The topics include:
