Katie Clark, EVP, Crisis & Reputation Risk, Atlanta, Head of U.S. Data Security & Privacy Group, Edelman
For more than 30 years, Katie has been helping organizations and brands protect their operations and reputation. As a senior leader in Edelman U.S. Crisis & Reputation Risk practice, she has significant experience counseling clients on crisis preparedness, issues management, crisis response and reputation recovery. She leads Edelman’s U.S. Data Security and Privacy Group and serves as a member of the firm’s global crisis network. In that capacity, she has led the response to some of the most significant data and cybersecurity incidents in the world for Fortune 500 companies, governments, as well as many other leading U.S. and global organizations. Working alongside top cybersecurity lawyers, forensics firms and other responders, Katie provides counsel to executive teams on evolving threats such as AI and ransomware. Prior to joining Edelman more than 18 years ago, Katie worked for a large communications marketing firm. Katie is originally from Canada, where she served for several years as national crisis practice lead for Edelman.
Adam S. Hickey, Partner at Mayer | Brown, LLP
With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, sanctions, export controls, FARA, CFIUS, and national security, Adam Hickey brings valuable insights from his tenure at the US Department of Justice. As a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General (DAAG) at the DOJ's National Security Division (NSD) and Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York (SDNY), he oversaw high-profile national security cases and established the national security cyber program to combat foreign intelligence cyber threats targeting major companies and critical infrastructure.
Steve Kelly, Chief Trust Officer, Institute for Security and Technology
As Chief Trust Officer, Steve Kelly brings extensive experience to IST, having served on the National Security Council (NSC) staff as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technology. With a background spanning 22 years at the FBI, Steve has held roles in cybercrime, cyber/counterintelligence investigations, policy development, and leadership. His leadership led to the launch of the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark security labeling program for consumer technology.
Mark Krotoski, Litigation Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Co-Head of the Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice, Antitrust Practice Group
Mark L. Krotoski represents and advises clients on antitrust cartel investigations; cybersecurity and privacy matters; trade secret, economic espionage, fraud, and foreign corrupt practices cases; and government investigations. With nearly 20 years of experience as a federal prosecutor and a leader in the US Department of Justice (DOJ), Mark provides clients with a unique blend of litigation and investigative experience. He has tried 20 cases to verdict and successfully argued appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Sixth Circuits.
Connie Uthoff, Program Director Master's of Cybersecurity Strategy & Information Management, College of Professional Studies at the George Washington University
Connie Peterson Uthoff, the Program Director of the Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Management Program, is an authority in cyber intelligence, risk, and critical infrastructure cyber threats. She has authored and co-authored multiple publications on cybersecurity and led cyber tabletop exercises in the U.S. and Europe. With over 20 years of security experience, she develops cyber seminars and instructs on cyber intelligence, risk, and incident response.
Dr. Scott J. White, Program Director, Undergraduate Cybersecurity Program, College of Professional Studies at the George Washington University
Dr. Scott J. White is an Associate Professor and Director of the Cybersecurity Program and Cyber Academy. He holds a Queen’s Commission and was an Officer with the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command. In addition, following his doctoral studies, Dr. White was an Officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. In 2010, Dr. White joined MONAD Security Audit Systems as an Associate Consultant. Dr. White has consulted with a variety of law enforcement agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
