But what comes next? And how can communicators make sure those benchmarks are informative enough to be actionable?

For Eric Battle, SVP and head of best practices and standards within the DE&I office at Santander USA, it’s imperative that progress be measured with metrics that are substantive and relevant to the needs of the moment. That guiding philosophy has prompted the bank to rethink everything from its talent recruitment process to its employee resource groups.
