In 2001, she founded RF|Binder, initially as an agency under the Ruder Finn Group, before establishing it as a separate, women-owned firm following a 2014 restructuring.

Amy Binder holds an A.B. with Honors from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
