Pro gamers with fans and groupies?If the idea of competitive gaming is one you're still getting your head around, it's time to take a lot more in, because in the twitch of an eye, some players have already formed a union.Pro eSports players for the games Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive formed a union in October, making demands such as minimum cash prize pools as a prerequisite for tournament participation, standardized payment processes, travel payment help by tournament organizers and a reasonable number of matches played per day.Oh, and a bathroom they can use separate from autograph and selfie-hungry fans.This is just another sign that eSports is a legitimate spectator sport, and its players serious about sticking around. As one speaker at the sparks & honey co-sponsored eSports Brand Summit said, research firm Newzoo estimates that by 2018, eSports revenues will reach $765M.
