An Intern's Point of View

My New Adventure - An Internship at CommPRO.bizLydia Korostelova, Intern at CommPRO.biz

As a student in the world of public relations and political communications, my options and opportunities are vast. I'm pursuing my passion by gathering as much relevant professional experience as possible. By keeping this agenda in mind, I will be working as a summer intern at CommPRO.biz, writing articles on the various topics in marketing, PR, advertising, mass media, etc.  I welcome your story ideas and industry comments.   Please email me at LydiaK@CommPRO.biz.Also, for me, as Ukrainian, non-American citizen, it is not only hard to get inside the PR field but also you should keep in mind tons of paperwork that will haunt you after you will find a job. You should not only have connections and skills to prove that you a valuable employee but also convince your company that you worth all the time spent on filling official documents. It does not mean that only immigrants or people with additional legal complications have to start getting their experience early. It is essential for every person who wants to pursue a career in communications to gather experience and knowledge at any possible occasion. The early involvement in the field can help you grow your career and provide with many helpful connections. All of my internships have given me a better understanding of the reality from the inside, and taught me to adjust and work under any circumstances.According to Data USA, the need for public relations specialists will only grow. The job growth is expected to be higher than the national average on 7.4% from 2016 to 2026. With our always evolving modern world of technology, it is extremely important to remember about young practitioners. The companies need the voice from the outside in order to expand the sphere of influence and have a larger perspective on the new trends. Only 30 years ago the Internet was invented and right now it is hard to imagine basic advertising and PR without the influence of social media. However, scientists predicted that the Internet will replace TV however television is still one of the major mediums in the U.S.My New Adventure - An Internship at CommPRO.biz - Chart
