Napping On The Job: All The Details.

Marie Raperto, The Hiring HubNapping at work is getting attention.  "The Sleep Judge," a blog, recently ran a survey to see how many people nap at work and whether it boosts their effectiveness.  The results showed that, if a company allows napping, 93.2% of employees have taken advantage of this benefit.  Arts, Entertainment, Construction and Marketing/Advertising companies were most likely to allow it.   Employees who work in remote offices or in sales believed that napping helped their productivity.Where do employees nap?  Forty-one percent napped in their cars/trucks, followed by in their chair.  Less common spots were the cafeteria, bathroom and outside parks and benches.If you are going to nap, follow these suggestions:Depending on your stress level and how tired you are, it's best to nap about 20-30 minutes.  This will help your body refresh itself without giving you sleep issues at night.  It's also best to pick a dark room or use a sleep mask.  Blocking out light will help you fall asleep faster.Naps can reduce stress and improve your memory.  Regular napping can greatly improve your sensory perception and it can increase your creativity.Now for my nap.....
