PRSA Announces ICON 2020 Virtual Conference, To Take Place October 26-29
Full Conference Experience To Include Keynote Speakers, Professional Development Programs, Networking And Social Opportunities
CommPRO Editorial StaffThis year has been, and continues to be, a challenging time for public relations and communications professionals. As PRSA explored options for the safe delivery of an in-person International Conference in Nashville, Tennessee in October, it became increasingly clear that it would not be possible to guarantee social distancing and other safety measures that would be necessary to achieve that desired goal. As a result, PRSA is launching its first fully digital gathering for professional communicators and students of the profession. ICON 2020 will be held Oct. 26-29 and feature all of the same hallmarks of the organization’s annual conference, including industry leading keynoters, an exhibit hall, topic-specific professional development programs, sessions for PRSSA students and a wide variety of networking and social opportunities. Plus, there will also be many new elements that will foster meaningful connections, thought leadership and innovation. Jon Meacham, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Carolynn Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, DiversityInc Media LLC and Lata Nott, Freedom Forum Fellow for the First Amendment will be among the event’s featured speakers with more to be announced in the coming weeks. The official ICON 2020 website will be launching soon. Click here to sign up to receive conference updates and stay up to date on the latest news and information.
