Y Communicate IWD 2022 Statement - #BreakTheBias

Yesenia Reinoso, Founder & Principal of Y CommunicateIn a world where our society constantly evolves, the power and influence of what women bring to the table across industries make all the difference. As storytellers, we have the power to shapeshift conversations and through action address important societal issues that changes the landscapes. This year’s theme #BreakTheBias symbolizes an overhaul of outdated systems and remodeling it to today’s standards. To develop a fair equitable world free of discriminatory bias, racism, sexism, ageism, and stereotypes. As a woman of color, it is my responsibility to build platforms, raise my voice, and continue breaking barriers till no bias of any kind exists. International Women’s Day is a celebration of us – the women. Empowerment. Motivation. Inspiration. Resiliency. Determination. We push the needle. Every year on March 8, we celebrate our achievements across business, cultural, socioeconomic, and political standing. We raise awareness on women’s equality and formulate community in a showing of solidarity.Every single day is International Women’s Day. Every minute we break another barrier. There is still more work that needs to be done. However, I am ready to step up and pave a bridge for future female generations. Let’s #BreakTheBias and create a world where women are valued.
