Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced the promotion of Lindsay Peterson to managing director of Golin Canada. Peterson will lead growth efforts across the region, and be tasked with continuing to build the firm’s presence in the market as she grows its existing book of global top accounts. Peterson officially assumed the title of MD on January 1, 2021 and reports to Gary Rudnick, president & COO.
Peterson joined the agency as executive director in 2016 during the launch of Golin’s Toronto office. In less than five years, she helped grow the agency to its current mid-seven figure size, while acquiring a diverse set of clients representing multiple practices, and building a world-class team.
“Lindsay is an exemplary leader with a proven track record of building trusted client relationships and converting new business,” said Rudnick. “What started with just one client in Toronto has quickly blossomed into one of our fastest growing offices in North America. Given her success, expertise and passion for our business, Lindsay is the ideal leader to take Golin Canada to the next level.”
Peterson oversees a team of approximately 25 employees who specialize in retail, corporate communications and health & wellness. Under her leadership, the Canadian operation services top tier clients like Ferrero, PetSmart, Staples Canada and Novartis. Just last year, the office’s impressive new business efforts added additional marquee accounts such as Allstate, Arterra Wines Canada, Columbia Sportswear, LEGO and J&J North American Skin Health.
“I’m thrilled to continue growing my career with such a talented team who helps to exceed our clients’ expectations every single day,” said Peterson. “I’m energized by our momentum, which is strengthened by the resources of Golin’s robust global network, and excited to continue to capitalize on our limitless growth potential.”
